WOW! What a year 2018 has been!
I flipped through the photos on my phone a couple weeks ago looking for some for a project (please don’t lecture me about how I ought to get those off my phone and on the cloud or wherever it is I’m supposed to be storing our family history these days) and I was moved to tears as image after image of our year flipped by. We have had an absolutely epic 2018. And I had already forgotten about some of our amazing adventures. I love spending some time processing all God has accomplished in and through me at the end of each year. How about you? How has God grown you this year? In what ways has His light shone through you? Do you have some goals you’re rolling over into 2019? Yeah, me, too!
Remember, that was my #oneword for 2019!? SHINE! And boy has it been bright!
As an annual recap, I like to share the top 10 most viewed posts from the year. And this year, I actually had a surprise! Not only did a Word Nerd Wednesday make the top 10, but there are three on the list! That’s a first! And the biggest shocker to me was the #1 one post wasn’t even one that published this year. So, without further ado….
The Top 10 Posts of 2018
6. Word Nerd Wednesday – Self- Control by Alisa Nicaud
5. Laying Down the Dream (with a free printable coloring sheet by my talented friend Jana)
2. Word Nerd Wednesday – Trespass by Kathryn Shirey
and the #1 post of 2018 was…. A Woman’s Worth More Than What’s in the Mirror
God birthed two book babies this year! I am still astonished by this!
If you know a military couple nearing the end of a deployment, I’d love for you to gift them Marriage Maintenance: Tune Up After Time Apart for Him and for Her to help them reconnect in a meaningful way.
If your marriage isn’t the masterpiece you hoped it would be, chances are you’re not alone. Gather your girlfriends and order copies of When Marriage Gets Messy to study for the next few months. If you do, I’d love to hear how God works in your marriages!
As an added bonus, I have a devotional appearing in the compilation, Free to Be Brave, published by Planting Roots.
Additionally, God has grown my editing business, to include completing edits on a full-length novel. The partnership He created with my friend Beth and I to launch Chat & Craft recently has been so fun already and there is much greatness to come in 2019.
A Final Prayer
I’d like to end the year with a prayer for you.
Dear Heavenly Father, Thank You for all You have done this year, in and through each of the people You gather in this space. I ask that you would guard each of their hearts and help them to focus more and more on You. Protect them and their loved ones in the coming year and inspire them to SHINE ever-brighter for Your glory! Give them Your peace no matter what struggles and strife may come in 2019. Restore, renew, and refresh them with the constant reminder of the joy of Your salvation. Give them the wisdom and fortitude to do Your will in every area of their lives. I pray all these things in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
Don’t miss next week when I unveil my #oneword of 2019! I’m positively giddy over it! And between now and then, I’d love for you to take this SURVEY (10 questions, 5 minutes or less) and let know how I can best serve you in this space next year!
